Job Requirements

  • 1 year of previous baking experience required
  • ability to perform physical tasks related to baking
  • willing to work full-time early morning shifts
  • ability to follow food safety standards
  • capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • able to stand for long periods
  • attention to detail and quality
  • legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • capable of using baking equipment safely

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year of previous baking experience
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to read and follow recipes and production sheets
  • customer service skills
  • ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • ability to work early morning shifts
  • basic math skills for production measurements
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets
  • assists in production planning to meet daily requirements
  • ensures proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes, following prescribed production standards and use of proper equipment
  • assists with completion of production records including waste tracking, used/unused portions and product shortages
  • informs supervisor when supplies are low
  • ensures proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • maintains sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies and utensils within work area
  • handles food items with safety regulations in mind during preparation and service
  • cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly
  • keeps display equipment clean and free of debris
  • interacts with customers and resolves complaints in a friendly manner
  • relays relevant customer concerns to supervisors
  • keeps up with peak production and service calmly and efficiently
  • checks food presentation, serving and display standards
  • follows principles of sanitation and safety in food handling and equipment
  • completes shift work in a timely and thorough manner
  • performs other duties as assigned
