Job Description

The role of a Baker at Bagels With Deli is designed for culinary professionals passionate about baking and food preparation in a bustling restaurant environment. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of bagels and other baked goods, adhering strictly to recipes and food safety standards. You will ensure timely preparation of baked products to align with business opening hours while maintaining kitchen safety and sanitation. The role requires careful management of supplies to stay within budget, oversight of food and labor costs, and collaboration with the team to maintain smooth kitchen operations. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with ability to thrive in fast-paced settings and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Experience in bagel baking is mandatory, along with physical capability to lift and push heavy weights to support kitchen operations. Job Requirements

  • At least 3 years of work experience as a baker in any good and reputable restaurant
  • Bagel experience is a must
  • Be able to list 50 lbs and push 100 lbs

Job Duties

  • Practice good personal hygiene and follow all food safety precaution guideline
  • Strictly follow and adhere to the budget of the restaurant, by ensuring that supplies and/or orders are in line with the budget and supervising food and labor cost(s)
  • Make sure that kitchen safety measures are met and that sanitation practices are carried out
  • Make sure to follow the recipe
  • Maintain smooth flow of activities in the kitchen and the restaurant
  • Make sure that meal is prepared and served to customers in a timely manner? Ensuring all baked goods are completed on time for opening
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels
  • Help kitchen equipment cleaning
