Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous baking experience preferred
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and procedures
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to operate bakery equipment safely
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends
- Basic computer skills for order entry
Job Qualifications

- Experience with decorating cakes and pastries

Job Duties
- Produce our entire line of baked goods including quality cakes, cupcakes, cookies, biscotti and other production items as delegated by a manager
- Ensure exceptional product by following recipes, understanding prep procedures, and maintaining raw materials quality
- Make sure our baked goods are baked and decorated according to Carlos Bakery product standards
- Keep up with pace of store and customer flow
- Avoid overproduction during slow business weeks
- Rotate product in freezer and walk-in using FIFO method
- Understand proper use of all equipment including ovens, mixers, sheeters, scales, walk-in, and freezer
- Maintain a clean production area
- Clean and sanitize all equipment, work areas, containers and utensils
- Be quick, accurate and organized
- Respect your customers and co-workers space and time
- Prepare special orders to ensure customer specifications are met
- Make sure customers receive exceptional customer service at all times
- Ensure operations are in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Greet, assist, provide efficient service and thank guests in a prompt, courteous, friendly and business-like manner to promote company image as a service-oriented operation
- Guide front-of-house staff on product questions and offer assistance in finding or suggesting product selection to customers
- Take specialty cake orders as requested by customers such as special occasion cakes and party platters
- Enter all specialty cake sales information into Salesforce
- Perform other duties as directed by a manager
