Employing a diverse team, Marriott St. Louis Grand fosters an environment where employees can thrive and contribute meaningfully to delivering superior guest services. The establishment prides itself on maintaining a professional and inclusive workplace culture that promotes growth and innovation among its staff.
The Baker role at Marriott St. Louis Grand is an exciting opportunity for culinary enthusiasts eager to hone their baking skills within a dynamic, fast-paced, and supportive team environment. This position involves preparing and baking a wide array of high-quality pastries, breads, desserts, and other baked goods that meet Marriott's impeccable standards of taste, presentation, and safety. The successful candidate will need to bring both creativity and precision to their work, adhering closely to recipes and presentation requirements to ensure consistent quality and guest satisfaction.
This role focuses heavily on both technical baking skills and effective kitchen operations. Bakers will be tasked with weighing, blending, porting, and arranging ingredients for daily baking activities, as well as maintaining and operating baking machinery with safety protocols thoroughly observed. Monitoring ovens and kitchen equipment to confirm correct cooking times and temperatures is another critical responsibility to ensure the optimum quality of products.
The Baker will also be instrumental in upholding food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring proper food storage, personal hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness are rigorously followed. This responsibility contributes directly to Marriott's commitment to health and safety regulations, guaranteeing that every baked item served is not only delicious but safe for consumption.
Moreover, the Baker role requires a collaborative spirit, as the individual will engage in professional dialogue with team members and guests alike, helping to foster a positive team culture by supporting colleagues and contributing to a harmonious working environment. The role may include additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors, making flexibility and willingness to grow crucial traits for success.
This position is ideal for candidates with a foundational knowledge or interest in baking pastries or desserts, including those who may have less than one year of related experience. No prior supervisory roles or certifications are required, making the job accessible to motivated beginners. Marriott offers a supportive setting that encourages learning and career development, making this a great stepping stone for aspiring bakers looking to advance in the culinary field. In sum, working as a Baker at Marriott St. Louis Grand not only provides the chance to develop valuable baking and kitchen management skills but also positions the individual within a globally recognized brand that values diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being.
