Job Requirements

  • Serv-Safe certification within 24 months
  • Good cooking skills with restaurant or institutional background
  • Ability to read and write
  • Ability to calculate amounts of ingredients when adjusting recipes
  • Ability to interpret written and oral instructions
  • Completion of Food Services Sanitation class or in-service

Job Qualifications

  • Serv-Safe certification within 24 months

  • Preferred five years of progressive food service experience
  • Preferred Culinary Arts Degree with three years of relevant experience

Job Duties

  • Produce a variety of baked goods including cookies, pastries, biscotti, and bars
  • Prepare high-end desserts for catered events
  • Follow safe cooking techniques and execute recipes with precision
  • Apply rigorous quality control to ensure consistent food quality and adherence to standards
  • Champion food quality standards of appearance, taste, temperature, and sanitation
  • Maintain proper labeling and storage of food products, equipment, and machinery
  • Perform washing and cleaning duties to uphold sanitation in cooking and serving areas
