As a baker at The Works, you will be responsible for efficiently preparing and baking the café's signature items, which include classic bagels, artisan breads, and various other baked goods. Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene is paramount in this role, alongside managing stock levels, performing regular inventory reviews, and organizing the preparation area to meet operational demands. The position requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to follow instructions carefully, and the independence to plan and carry out tasks effectively. Weekend availability is necessary, and physical stamina is required to stand and walk for extended periods, frequently reaching, bending, balancing, and transporting ingredients and products throughout shifts.
