Job Requirements

  • Must obey all state and federal guidelines regarding health and safety policies
  • Wear proper headwear such as hat or hairnet
  • Wash hands frequently with hot water for not less than 20 seconds
  • Ability to lift boxes and product ranging from 20 lbs up to 60 lbs
  • Ability to push/pull items weighing up to 200 lbs on cart or dolly
  • Ability to bend/stoop and reach above shoulder level
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions including freezer, refrigerator, and ovens
  • Willingness to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks
  • Ability to follow special written orders accurately

Job Qualifications

  • Previous baking experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Inspect machinery at beginning of day for potential repairs and report need for repairs to Bakery Manager
  • Prepare breads, pastries, etc
  • Clean machinery at end of day
  • Perform all other assigned job duties
  • Lift boxes and products ranging between 20 lbs up to 60 lbs
  • Place boxes/products onto dolly or cart
  • Push/pull items on cart/dolly weighing between 30 lbs up to 200 lbs
  • Bend/stoop to pick up or place product below waist level including shelves and racks
  • Place product onto bins and position for sale
  • Grasp/grip product to prepare for sales floor by cutting or cleaning
  • Constantly sweep/push broom to pick up debris to keep work area clean
  • Place and remove product from bakery cooler, proofing, and ovens including shelving and bakery bins
  • Reach above shoulder level for product placement
  • Place debris/trash/recycle cardboard in respective areas
  • Clean and maintain bakery tables and bins
