Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) is a distinguished bakery chain known for its delectable cakes that come in a variety of unique flavors and sizes. Since its inception in 1997 by founders Dena Tripp and Debbie Shwetz, NbC has grown from a small-scale kitchen operation into a popular bakery brand recognized for its commitment to quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction. The company operates numerous locations on-site, offering both full-time and part-time employment opportunities. As an NbC Baker, you will be responsible for the end-to-end cake production process. This includes the precise preparation of raw ingredients, operation of commercial-grade mixers and ovens, monitoring baking progress, and ensuring all baked goods meet stringent quality and safety criteria. Bakers must also adhere to company standards regarding packaging, labeling, storage, and product rotation to maintain freshness and quality. Additionally, the role requires thorough logging of baking and refrigeration data to support inventory management and product traceability.

Beyond baking, the Baker supports inventory management by assisting the Bakery Manager with production planning and supply monitoring, ensuring that baking supplies are replenished promptly to prevent disruptions. Maintaining a clean and sanitized workstation following health and safety protocols is essential, as well as following the company’s dress code and personal hygiene standards.

Job Duties

  • Follows NbC proprietary recipes and cake production methods with precision and achieves productivity goals
  • Effectively utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers and ovens, and other baking tools
  • Accurately prepares raw ingredients and equipment for baking, monitors the baking process
  • Adheres to proper packaging, labeling, storage, and product rotation standards and maintains baking and refrigeration logs
  • Assists Bakery Manager in production planning and inventory monitoring
  • Evaluates raw ingredients and baked cakes to ensure quality standards and reports issues
  • Cleans, sanitizes, and restocks workstations and baking supplies
  • Complies with health and safety guidelines, dress code, and personal hygiene
  • Maintains consistent attendance and punctuality
