Job Requirements

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks

  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • No formal education required
  • Previous experience as a Baker or in a bakery, restaurant, or foodservice environment is a plus
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral directions, including recipes in English and Spanish
  • Proficient in using commercial baking equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to maintain strict adherence to health and safety standards
  • Self-motivated and organized with ability to work independently

Job Duties

  • Follows NbC proprietary recipes and cake production methods with precision and achieves productivity goals
  • Effectively utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers and ovens, and other baking tools
  • Accurately prepares raw ingredients and equipment for baking, monitors the baking process
  • Adheres to proper packaging, labeling, storage, and product rotation standards and maintains baking and refrigeration logs
  • Assists Bakery Manager in production planning and inventory monitoring
  • Evaluates raw ingredients and baked cakes to ensure quality standards and reports issues
  • Cleans, sanitizes, and restocks workstations and baking supplies
  • Complies with health and safety guidelines, dress code, and personal hygiene
  • Maintains consistent attendance and punctuality
