The role of Panadero (Baker) at Schlotzsky's corporate location is a hands-on position responsible for baking breads and pizza dough with precision and care. In addition to baking, the Panadero must maintain a clean and organized work station, including cleaning all pans and baking trays used throughout the shift with a minimum requirement of handling 30 trays per day. The position demands strict compliance with all bakery safety and sanitation policies, including OSHA and SERVSAFE guidelines to create a safe working environment and prevent contamination. Physically, the role involves rigorous activities such as lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, stretching, repetitive hand and arm movements, working near hot ovens while using protective gloves, and standing for prolonged periods. The baker must present a professional appearance and abide by company uniform standards, arriving punctually for every shift. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old to operate certain bakery equipment
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- ability to bend, stretch, and kneel as required
- ability to perform repetitive arm and hand motions
- able to work near hot equipment using protective gloves
- ability to stand for scheduled shifts

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous baking experience preferred
- strong attention to detail and accuracy
- ability to multitask and manage various stages of the baking process
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

- basic math skills for measuring ingredients
Job Duties
- Bake batches according to daily bake order sheets
- produce consistently high-quality bakery products
- be extremely accurate with recipe weights and measures
- maintain a clean workstation at all times
- properly clean all pans and baking trays during the shift with a minimum of 30 trays per day
- assist managers in managing current and needed bread levels and baking sequence
