Job Description
Dunkin', founded in 1950, is America's beloved all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods. As a market leader in coffee and baked product categories such as donuts, bagels, and muffins, Dunkin' boasts over 13,100 restaurants across 41 countries worldwide. Based in Canton, Massachusetts, Dunkin' is part of the Dunkin' Brands Group, Inc., which has earned a number one ranking for customer loyalty in the coffee category by Brand Keys for 14 consecutive years. This esteemed reputation is built upon the company's commitment to quality, consistency, and exceptional customer service, making it a preferred destination for millions around the globe.
We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Bakers. This role is crucial in the production process, involving the preparation of a variety of baked goods including donuts, munchkins, muffins, croissants, bagels, and other necessary prep products. The position is generally an overnight role, typically from 8 pm to 5 am, although hours may vary by location. It requires someone who can work independently, demonstrating self-motivation and accountability, as the baker’s output directly impacts the restaurant’s success each day.
The baker is responsible for maintaining all production areas, ensuring ovens, production equipment, freezers, floors, and walls are clean, organized, and functioning efficiently. Additionally, the role includes setting up bakery cases to showcase fresh product in an appealing and accessible manner. A critical part of the job involves strict adherence to food safety standards, including proper product dating and labeling to maintain quality and comply with health regulations.
In addition to baking, donut finishing duties include filling and frosting donuts, replenishing the donut case during morning hours, and cleaning and washing equipment and the donut production area at the end of the shift. The work environment demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand for 4 to 8 hours, lift up to 30 pounds, and carry out functions such as bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling. The company supports reasonable accommodations to help meet these physical requirements.
Key qualities we look for in candidates include responsibility, punctuality, cleanliness, and organization. Operative skills with restaurant equipment and the ability to interact respectfully and effectively with team members contribute significantly to success in this role. Also important is the ability to respond positively to coaching and feedback, communicate efficiently within the team, multitask, and stay resilient under pressure. Every baker must follow brand standards, recipes, systems, food safety, sanitation guidelines, and comply with all applicable laws to maintain Dunkin's high standards.
This position offers a competitive pay rate ranging from $12 to $15 per hour, including bonus pay opportunities. Training is provided on the job, ensuring you are equipped to deliver excellence from the start. Dunkin' supports your growth potential, promoting from within to advance your career. Additional benefits include flexible scheduling options suited to your lifestyle, free meals and employee discounts, medical benefits, 401k with employer match, and an employee referral program offering up to $100 cash. This is a full-time or part-time, on-site position designed for those passionate about baking and eager to contribute to a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
