The Bakery in West Ashley, SC is currently seeking a dedicated Baker who will report directly to the Bakery Manager or Lead Operator. This role is vital in maintaining the bakery's commitment to producing consistently high-quality cakes that delight guests. The Baker will follow strict proprietary recipes and Baking production methods to create delicious bundt cakes available in a variety of flavors and sizes. This position serves as a cornerstone of production, ensuring not only that cakes are baked to perfection, but also adhere to stringent food safety standards and operational efficiency. As a baker, the individual will handle commercial-grade ovens, mixers, and other bakery equipment with precision, preparing raw ingredients meticulously and monitoring every stage of the baking process.
Key responsibilities include maintaining proper packaging, labeling, and storage practices alongside rotating baked goods to ensure freshness. The Baker also plays an active role in inventory management by assisting the Bakery Manager in monitoring baking supplies and notifying management when replenishments are needed. This role requires a high level of quality control, ensuring all raw ingredients and finished products meet Nothing Bundt Cakes' rigorous standards. Cleanliness and sanitation at the workstation must be upheld at all times to comply with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate should have the physical stamina necessary to perform repetitive tasks including lifting items up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods. The ability to understand and follow detailed written and verbal instructions, including recipes available in English and Spanish, is necessary. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, especially regarding measurements and timing, in order to achieve consistent quality. Flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required to meet the operational demands of this dynamic bakery.

Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to follow proprietary baking recipes and production methods
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must comply with health and safety guidelines and NbC dress code
- Reliable and punctual with consistent attendance
- Ability to communicate effectively in English or Spanish
Job Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to understand written and oral directions, interpret instructional documents such as recipes, operating procedures and health and safety rules
- Ability to perform repetitious, physical tasks that require strength to lift items up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Ability to operate commercial-grade ovens and other bakery equipment
- Meticulous attention to exact measurements and timing
- Discipline and attention to detail to strictly adhere to health and safety practices
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Previous experience as a Baker or in an operational bakery role is a plus
Job Duties
- Follows NbC proprietary recipes and cake production methods with precision and achieves productivity goals
- Effectively utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers and ovens, and other tools to bake cakes
- Accurately prepares raw ingredients and equipment for baking, places cake pans into hot oven and monitors the baking process
- Adheres to the proper packaging, labeling and storage of baked cakes as well as product rotation standards, and maintains baking and refrigeration logs
- Assists Bakery Manager in the development of cake production plan, monitors inventory of baking supplies and notifies management when supply replenishment is required
- Evaluates raw ingredients and baked cakes to ensure NbC standards are met and informs management of any quality control issues
- Cleans, sanitizes and restocks workstation and ensures all baking supplies are sufficiently prepared for the next shift
- Complies with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene
- Maintains a consistent work attendance and punctuality record
