Boise Co-op is a member-owned natural foods grocery store that has been proudly serving the Boise community with fresh, organic, and locally sourced products. Established with a strong commitment to sustainability, community engagement, and high-quality products, the Co-op offers a welcoming shopping environment where customers can find everything from fresh produce and bulk foods to craft beers and artisanal goods. Known for its dedication to cooperative principles and environmental responsibility, Boise Co-op emphasizes supporting local farmers and producers while providing educational opportunities to enhance community well-being. This cooperative grocery store is more than a retailer; it’s a community hub where customers and members can connect over shared values and enjoy products that promote health and sustainability. The Co-op's employee culture is built on teamwork, respect, and a focus on creating positive experiences for both customers and staff, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone’s contributions are valued.

The position of Baker at Boise Co-op offers a unique opportunity to join a friendly, supportive bakery team focused on crafting high-quality baked goods that bring joy to customers every day. Bakers at the Co-op are responsible for preparing a variety of delicious pastries, cookies, muffins, and other baked treats following established recipes and standards to ensure consistent quality and presentation. This role is ideal for someone who loves the art of baking and is eager to contribute their skills in a collaborative, fast-paced setting. Working at Boise Co-op means you will be part of a team that values creativity, quality, and customer satisfaction, all while supporting the broader goals of sustainability and community enrichment.

As a Baker at Boise Co-op, you will follow detailed production schedules to keep bakery displays fresh and inviting. You will operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently and help train new team members to uphold the Co-op’s high standards. This role demands attention to detail, consistency in product quality, and the ability to work in a lively, community-oriented environment. The position requires physical stamina, including being on your feet for extended periods and handling moderate lifting tasks, while the environment promotes creativity and teamwork. The Co-op values employees who communicate clearly, stay organized, and maintain a positive attitude. Offering competitive hourly wages along with quarterly bonuses, an extra hourly store spend benefit, insurance options, and a 401(k) plan, this role provides a comprehensive compensation package suited for individuals dedicated to quality food and community engagement. The Co-op also promotes inclusivity and reasonable accommodations for employees with disabilities, fostering an equitable workplace where diversity is embraced.
