Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy
  • Food handler certification required
  • Six months of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must follow company safety procedures
  • Must be attentive to potential hazards and able to report them
  • Attendance at work is required

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Food handler certification required
  • Six months of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain department equipment
  • Basic mathematical skills for following recipes
  • Ability to effectively communicate in written and verbal form with customers and partners
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Attention to potential hazards and ability to report or remedy them promptly
  • Typically involves on-the-job training

Job Duties

  • Follows recipes to prepare cakes, donuts, cookies, and other products according to customer orders or as needed for display
  • Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, shaping, and scoring them
  • Operates commercial baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, dough proofers
  • Completes production list and fills out special order requests, including packaging and labeling products
  • Maintains attractive product presentation by maintaining and filling bakery trays, display cases, and ingredient bins, rotating products to ensure quality and freshness
  • Maintains a friendly and customer-service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, responding to complaints, and assisting in product selection
  • Maintains clean, safe, and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to company safety procedures
  • Promotes product sales through suggestive selling initiatives
