Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in restaurant or bakery preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Understand the importance of all baking procedures and recipes
  • Prepping and baking bagels
  • Open bake
  • Making all dough mixtures in a timely manner using correct procedures
  • Understand rotation and shelf life of raw dough
  • Clean and disinfect work area
  • Set-up and break-down work station
  • Follow and ensure compliance with sanitation and cleaning procedures
  • Proof bagels
  • Recognize the importance of time and temperature
  • Responsible for opening store on time
  • Able to close the entire bakery
  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
  • Knead and shape dough
  • Operate machinery to mix, knead, and shape dough
  • Monitor the quality of the dough throughout the process
  • Ensure that all equipment is clean and sanitized
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment
  • Must be able to start work as early as 4am
  • Weekend availability required
