Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) is a renowned bakery franchise known for its delectable bundt cakes crafted with proprietary recipes and high-quality ingredients. The baker position at Nothing Bundt Cakes is integral to the brand's promise of quality and consistency. The NbC Baker is responsible for producing cakes that meet strict proprietary recipe guidelines and food safety standards, ensuring that guests receive premium products that delight. This role requires precision in following baking methods, including measuring ingredients, using commercial-grade ovens and mixers, and monitoring baking times closely. Bakers also handle tasks involving packaging, labeling, and inventory management, contributing to the smooth operation of the bakery.

Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- previous experience as a baker or in a similar operational support role in a bakery, restaurant, or foodservice environment is preferred but not required
- flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- physical capability to lift moderate to heavy weight items and stand for long periods
- ability to follow strict food safety and handling protocols
- reliable attendance and punctuality
- ability to communicate effectively in English, Spanish language skills are a plus
Job Qualifications
- Ability to understand written and oral instructions and apply knowledge to perform job responsibilities
- basic understanding of units of measurement used in the U.S.
- ability to perform repetitious physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods
- experience operating commercial-grade ovens and bakery equipment
- meticulous attention to exact measurements and timing
- ability to evaluate products, processes, and surroundings to ensure compliance with standards
- disciplined and detail-oriented with strict adherence to health and safety practices
- self-motivated and able to operate independently with minimal supervision
- basic bilingual skills (English and Spanish) are a plus
- strong interpersonal skills demonstrating warmth, empathy and teamwork
Job Duties
- Follow NbC proprietary recipes and cake production methods with precision and achieve productivity goals
- effectively utilize measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers and ovens, and other tools to bake cakes
- accurately prepare raw ingredients and equipment for baking, place cake pans into hot oven and monitor the baking process
- adhere to proper packaging, labeling, and storage of baked cakes and product rotation standards, maintain baking and refrigeration logs
- assist Bakery Manager in developing cake production plans and monitor inventory of baking supplies, notifying management when supply replenishment is required
- evaluate raw ingredients and baked cakes to ensure NbC standards are met and inform management of any quality control issues
- clean, sanitize and restock the workstation, ensuring all baking supplies are prepared for the next shift
- comply with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene
- maintain consistent work attendance and punctuality record
