The Nothing Bundt Cakes Baker plays an essential role in the bakery by ensuring that cakes of the highest quality are consistently produced to meet customer demands. This position requires a meticulous and disciplined approach to baking, following strict proprietary recipes and production methods to craft delectable cakes that exceed guest expectations. The baker is responsible for preparing raw ingredients, operating commercial-grade baking equipment, monitoring baking processes, and adhering to health and safety standards. Efficient packaging, accurate labeling, and proper storage methods are also key responsibilities to maintain product freshness and customer satisfaction.
Beyond the technical baking skills, the baker must embody NbC's core values by demonstrating reliability, teamwork, attention to detail, and a passion for quality. Working in a fast-paced production environment, the baker will collaborate with management to support inventory control, quality assurance, and daily production plans. Job Qualifications
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
- previous experience as a Baker or in another operational support role at a bakery, restaurant or foodservice environment is a plus
- ability to understand written and oral directions and interpret instructional documents such as recipes and operating procedures
- ability to operate commercial-grade ovens and bakery equipment and work adjacent to a high-heat source
- physical capability to perform repetitious, physical tasks requiring strength to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- meticulous attention to detail and ability to adhere strictly to health and safety practices
- self-motivated and organized with the ability to work independently
Job Duties
- Follows NbC proprietary recipes and cake production methods with precision and achieves productivity goals
- effectively utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers and ovens, and other tools to bake cakes
- accurately prepares raw ingredients and equipment for baking, places cake pans into hot oven and monitors the baking process
- adheres to the proper packaging, labeling, and storage of baked cakes as well as product rotation standards, and maintains baking and refrigeration logs
- assists Bakery Manager in the development of cake production plan and monitors inventory of baking supplies and notifies management when supply replenishment is required
- evaluates raw ingredients and baked cakes to ensure NbC standards are met and informs management of any quality control issues
- cleans, sanitizes and restocks the workstation and ensures all baking supplies are sufficiently prepared for the next shift
- complies with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene
- maintains a consistent work attendance and punctuality record
