Job Requirements

  • Prior baking experience preferred
  • ability to work full-time schedule including varied days from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
  • ability to follow food safety and OSHA regulations
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to maintain a clean and orderly workstation
  • good interpersonal skills
  • must be able to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation

Job Duties

  • Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets
  • assist in production planning to meet daily requirements
  • ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes, following prescribed production standards and use of proper equipment
  • assist with the completion of production records including waste tracking, used/unused portions and product shortages
  • maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area
  • handle food items appropriately and with all safety regulations in mind during preparation and service
  • clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving area
  • interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner
  • exhibit ability to keep up with peak production calmly, accurately and efficiently
  • check to ensure all food is presented, served and displayed per standards
  • follow principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment ensuring corporate and OSHA standards are followed
  • complete shift work in a timely and thorough manner according to department standards
  • perform other duties as assigned
