Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Demonstrate dependable and reliable attendance
- Exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior
- Communicate effectively and take direction
- Ability to answer phones and handle special orders
- Perform cleaning and sanitizing of bakery workspace
- Operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Physically able to stand continuously for up to 3 hours and 8 hours total per shift
- Transfer trays up to 5 lbs from 7 to 64 inches and items up to 40 lbs for distances up to 36 feet without mechanical assistance
- Adhere to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- Maintain a current Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- Ability to take direction and work in a team environment
- Ability to answer phones and take special orders
- Experience performing general housekeeping and sanitation in a food service environment
- Ability to operate bakery tools and equipment
- Physical ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift and lift or transfer bakery items safely
- Knowledge of safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- Food Handlers permit required
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising baked goods
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bakery department and equipment
- Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while managing product rotation and discarding outdated items
- Receive, inspect, and log shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality
- Operate bakery equipment including knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed
- Adhere to all safety, health, and food handling regulations while maintaining a Food Handlers permit
