Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel regularly
  • Experience or training in bakery or food service preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight shifts
  • Must follow health and safety guidelines
  • Must have dependable attendance

  • Effective problem-solving skills especially in dynamic and stressful environments
  • Comprehensive understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies
  • Knowledge of retail food business and perishable department operations

  • Basic baking and pastry skills

Job Duties

  • Follow recipes and production lists precisely to ensure high-quality bakery and pastry items
  • Monitor dates and freshness, handle outdated items properly, and report shrinkage
  • Adhere to all Health Department guidelines and Festival sanitation practices
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and dry storage
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with finding items, taking special orders, and addressing concerns
  • Answer phone calls with proper etiquette and ensure guest satisfaction
  • Keep an eye on stock levels and service floor needs, ensuring proper assortment and production-level
  • Maintain food safety logs and ensure quality standards are met by 10 am and 5 pm daily
  • Work closely with Bakery associates to meet department goals and support a positive team environment
  • Maintain regular and timely attendance complying with the work schedule
  • Perform other duties as assigned
