Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • ability to position self to move items weighing up to 25 pounds from floor to shelves and cabinets above and below counter height

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Measure and mix ingredients to produce bakery products including bread and pastries using precise cafe standards
  • ensure correct quantities of baked goods are produced daily and collaborate with management to plan production schedules
  • manage the baking environment by maintaining quality presentation, monitoring oven temperature and baking times, and evaluating products against standards
  • visually merchandise and display all products
  • receive and store inventory, proof and prepare for baking to ensure product consistency
  • keep work area clean, organized, and stocked while responsible for proper sanitation of the work environment
  • demonstrate hospitality, respect, and a friendly attitude toward guests and fellow team members
  • resolve problems and keep management informed about issues as they arise
  • provide on-the-job training for new bakers as needed
  • perform prep and utility duties and act as backup when necessary
  • assist in cafe set up, refill and maintain additional areas including coffee, tea, oatmeal, and soup
  • perform other related responsibilities as assigned
