Job Requirements

  • At least one year of previous baking or pastry experience
  • ability to work part-time hours Tuesday through Thursday morning shift
  • ability to follow detailed recipes and production procedures
  • commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
  • authorization to work in the United States
  • reliable transportation to CSU Stanislaus location
  • ability to interact positively with customers and team members

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • minimum one year of baking or pastry experience required
  • ability to follow recipes and production standards
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • good communication and customer service skills
  • ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • basic math skills for record keeping

Job Duties

  • Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries per production and catering sheets
  • assist in production planning to meet daily requirements
  • ensure proper food preparation using approved recipes and standards
  • assist with completion of production records including waste tracking and supply inventory
  • maintain food quality, portion control, and serving temperatures
  • maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment and work area
  • handle food items safely following all safety regulations
  • clean equipment and workstation before leaving
  • interact with customers and resolve complaints courteously
  • keep up with peak production and service calmly and efficiently
  • check food presentation and display according to standards
  • follow sanitation and safety principles in food handling and equipment use
  • perform other assigned duties
