Job Requirements

  • At least two years of previous baking experience preferred
  • ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
  • capability to follow recipes and production standards
  • proficiency in handling baking equipment safely
  • basic understanding of food safety and sanitation principles
  • excellent time management skills
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work area
  • strong interpersonal skills for customer interaction
  • compliance with company policies and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • minimum two years baking experience preferred
  • knowledge of baking techniques and food safety standards
  • ability to work full-time schedule Monday through Friday
  • basic math skills for measuring ingredients and recording production
  • strong attention to detail and quality
  • good customer service and communication skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and handle kitchen equipment safely

Job Duties

  • Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and other pastries as necessary per production and catering sheets
  • assist in production planning to meet daily requirements
  • ensure proper food preparation using approved recipes and production standards
  • use proper equipment safely and effectively
  • assist with completion of production records including waste tracking and inventory monitoring
  • inform supervisor when supplies are low
  • ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control, and serving temperatures
  • maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies, and utensils
  • handle food items safely adhering to food safety regulations
  • clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before shift end
  • keep display equipment clean
  • interact with customers and address complaints professionally
  • relay customer concerns to supervisors
  • keep up with peak production and service demands calmly and efficiently
  • ensure all food is presented, served, and displayed per standards
  • follow sanitation and safety principles per company and OSHA requirements
  • complete shift work timely and thoroughly
  • perform other duties as assigned
