Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
Have 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
Be dependable and reliable
Work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
Possess good communication skills
Ability to answer phones and take special orders
Perform general housekeeping and sanitation
Operate bakery equipment including knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for an 8-hour shift
Ability to handle physical demands including lifting and transferring trays and items
Adhere to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
Maintain a food handlers permit

Job Qualifications

Be at least 18 years of age
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
Demonstrate dependability and reliability with the ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
Have good communication skills and the ability to participate in a team environment
Ability to answer phones and take special orders
Ability to stand for long periods and lift trays and items according to job requirements
Maintain necessary food handlers permit

Job Duties

Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
Provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
Maintain cleanliness of the bakery department including cleaning shelves, floors, and equipment
Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while checking product rotation and discarding outdated items
Receive, inspect, and log shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality
Operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, and pallet jacks safely and efficiently
Perform general housekeeping and sanitation tasks in the bakery area
