Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
  • Be dependable and reliable
  • Work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
  • Possess good communication skills
  • Ability to answer phones and take special orders
  • Perform general housekeeping and sanitation
  • Operate bakery equipment including knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for an 8-hour shift
  • Ability to handle physical demands including lifting and transferring trays and items
  • Adhere to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
  • Maintain a food handlers permit

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrate dependability and reliability with the ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Have good communication skills and the ability to participate in a team environment
  • Ability to answer phones and take special orders
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift trays and items according to job requirements
  • Maintain necessary food handlers permit

Job Duties

  • Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
  • Provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bakery department including cleaning shelves, floors, and equipment
  • Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while checking product rotation and discarding outdated items
  • Receive, inspect, and log shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality
  • Operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, and pallet jacks safely and efficiently
  • Perform general housekeeping and sanitation tasks in the bakery area
