Job Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly
- Lift up to 60 pounds frequently
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
- Willingness to work early mornings, afternoons, weekends, holidays, and occasionally evening or overnight shifts
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous baking or food preparation experience preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to comply with regular and timely attendance
Job Qualifications
- Customer focus with the ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all personnel
- Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly assess and resolve issues in a dynamic and stressful work environment
- Comprehensive understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies, including training on ovens and other baking equipment
- Knowledge of the retail food business and perishable department operations with the ability to make timely and effective decisions
- Ability to adhere to health department regulations and maintain sanitation standards
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Job Duties
- Follow recipes and production lists precisely to ensure high-quality bakery and pastry items
- Monitor dates and freshness, handle outdated items properly, and report shrinkage
- Adhere to all Health Department guidelines and Festival sanitation practices
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and dry storage
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests, taking special orders, and addressing concerns
- Answer phone calls with proper etiquette and ensure guest satisfaction
- Keep an eye on stock levels and service floor needs, ensuring proper assortment and production-level
- Maintain food safety logs and ensure all quality standards are met by 10 am and 5 pm daily
- Work closely with all Bakery associates to meet department goals and support a positive team environment
- Maintain regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule and provide adequate notice for absences
- Perform other duties as assigned
