Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly
  • Lift up to 60 pounds frequently
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
  • Willingness to work early mornings, afternoons, weekends, holidays, and occasionally evening or overnight shifts
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous baking or food preparation experience preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to comply with regular and timely attendance

  • Customer focus with the ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all personnel
  • Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly assess and resolve issues in a dynamic and stressful work environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies, including training on ovens and other baking equipment
  • Knowledge of the retail food business and perishable department operations with the ability to make timely and effective decisions
  • Ability to adhere to health department regulations and maintain sanitation standards
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Follow recipes and production lists precisely to ensure high-quality bakery and pastry items
  • Monitor dates and freshness, handle outdated items properly, and report shrinkage
  • Adhere to all Health Department guidelines and Festival sanitation practices
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and dry storage
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests, taking special orders, and addressing concerns
  • Answer phone calls with proper etiquette and ensure guest satisfaction
  • Keep an eye on stock levels and service floor needs, ensuring proper assortment and production-level
  • Maintain food safety logs and ensure all quality standards are met by 10 am and 5 pm daily
  • Work closely with all Bakery associates to meet department goals and support a positive team environment
  • Maintain regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule and provide adequate notice for absences
  • Perform other duties as assigned
