Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
Ability to work flexible schedule including night, weekends, and holidays
Outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude
Good communication skills
Ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
Ability to answer phones and take special orders
Ability to perform general housekeeping and sanitation
Ability to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and lift items up to 40 lbs
Adherence to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
Ability to obtain and maintain Food Handlers permit

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Dependable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Outgoing and friendly with positive attitude
Good communication skills and ability to participate in a team environment
Ability to answer phones and take special orders
Ability to perform general housekeeping and sanitation tasks
Ability to operate bakery tools and equipment safely
Physical capability to stand and lift moderately heavy items
Food Handler's permit or ability to obtain

Job Duties

Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
Provide high level of customer service while ensuring bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bakery area and equipment
Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy of bakery products
Examine rotation of bakery products and discard outdated or spoiled items
Receive, inspect, and log shipment of products for accuracy, quality, and temperature
Operate bakery equipment safely and assist customers with special orders
