Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
have a high school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
dependable and reliable
ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
outgoing and friendly behavior
positive attitude
good communication skills
ability to take direction
ability to participate in a team environment
ability to answer phones and take special orders
ability to perform general housekeeping and sanitation
ability to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously during an 8-hour shift
ability to lift and transfer items up to 40 lbs
adhere to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
possess and maintain a Food Handlers permit

Job Qualifications

perform housekeeping and sanitation duties in the bakery
able to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, and hand trucks
capable of standing up to 3 hours continuously for an 8-hour shift
able to lift and transfer items up to 40 lbs
adhere to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
maintain a Food Handlers permit

Job Duties

Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves and products, floors, and removing hazardous debris
stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy of all bakery products
examine the rotation of bakery products and discard outdated or spoiled items
receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
answer phones and take special orders
perform general housekeeping and sanitation in bakery department
operate and use knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed
