Job Duties

  • Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets
  • assist in production planning to meet daily requirements
  • ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes and prescribed production standards
  • use proper equipment
  • assist with completion of production records including waste tracking and product shortages
  • inform supervisor when supplies are low
  • ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies, and utensils within work area
  • handle food items safely according to regulations during preparation and service
  • clean equipment and workstation thoroughly
  • keep display equipment clean and free of debris
  • interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, customer-service oriented manner
  • relay relevant customer concerns to supervisors
  • maintain calm, accuracy, and efficiency during peak production and service
  • check food presentation and service standards
  • follow sanitation and safety principles in handling food and equipment
  • complete shift work in a timely and thorough manner
  • perform other duties as assigned
