Job Requirements

  • Punctual and reliable attendance
  • Minimum 1 year of kitchen experience in a high volume establishment
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Be able to work in a standing and moving position for long periods of time
  • Effective time management skills
  • Able to work in with heated equipment
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures
  • Quick and efficient with a knowledge of Bake Station skills
  • Must be able to carry a full sheet pan full of twice baked potatoes and crab cakes
  • Must be able to maneuver within the confines of a walk-in cooler, and bake station

Job Duties

  • Follow food safety and handling procedures such as product rotation, dating and labeling all food items
  • Prepare all Bake Station items to the food quality levels set by Goode Co. Seafood standards
  • Cook all food items according to the specified cook times to ensure they are safe for customer consumption
  • Follow proper knife handling procedures
  • Ensure the quality of the food items and notify the manager if a product does not meet Goode Company standards
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning, chopping and storing
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area including tables, tools, knives and equipment to ensure sanitary conditions are met
  • Assist cooks and kitchen staff to prepare food and provide them with needed items
  • Ensure proper rotation and cleanliness of Bake Station, dry goods area and walk-in cooler
  • Keep area well organized
  • Keep all containers properly labeled and covered
  • Report any food irregularities to management
  • Perform any other duties specified by management
