Job Requirements

  • Must have a valid US driver’s license with at least 3 years of experience
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with team members as well as airline passengers
  • Excellent customer service skills are required
  • Must pay close attention to details and have the ability to learn all required systems
  • This position requires frequent lifting, bending, standing, and walking

  • Ability to follow airline operational protocols and safety procedures

Job Duties

  • Assist passengers with their luggage and oversize equipment by loading and unloading items to and from conveyor belts and loaders
  • Secure items left on baggage claim carousels
  • Supervise the transportation of checked luggage
  • Assist with transporting bags to and from designated areas, loading luggage and oversized items onto conveyor belt systems
  • Assign checked bags to the appropriate carousels in the baggage claim area
  • Manage and document instances of damaged or misplaced baggage, as well as load discrepancies
  • Notify the appropriate personnel of equipment damage and malfunctions
  • Observe airline instructions regarding irregular operations and report suspicious activity
