Job Requirements

  • Education requirement: bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Experience requirement: five years professional experience in operations and maintenance of electromechanical systems, baggage handling systems, logistics infrastructure, and/or conveyances
  • One years of appropriate experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education
  • Additional appropriate education may be substituted for experience requirements
  • Requires a valid driver's license at time of application
  • Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Five years professional experience in operations and maintenance of electromechanical systems, baggage handling systems, logistics infrastructure, and/or conveyances
  • Strong understanding of baggage handling systems or complex technical equipment
  • Familiarity with airport-specific contracts related to baggage handling systems
  • Proficiency in data analysis, root cause identification, and solution implementation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Conduct regular system inspections to identify irregularities or wear and tear
  • Coordinate timely maintenance and repairs with baggage handling system contractors and stakeholders
  • Plan and manage system upgrades to enhance performance and integrate new technologies
  • Serve as the central point of contact for baggage handling system-related inquiries
  • Facilitate communication among airport departments, airlines, TSA, and other service providers during normal and contingency operations
  • Lead planned and ad-hoc meetings with contractors and stakeholders
  • Provide system tours as needed
  • Ensure daily operations align with contractual obligations and quality standards
  • Partner with contractors to drive continuous improvement
  • Conduct audits on maintenance activities, reports, parts usage, and inventory through computerized maintenance management software
  • Track and evaluate key performance indicators as defined in contracts
  • Identify performance trends and use data insights to guide strategic decisions
  • Collect, interpret, and analyze operational data to produce reports and presentations for leadership
  • Assist in budget creation and tracking, invoice approvals, parts expenditure monitoring, and contractor staffing analysis
  • Perform other duties as assigned
