Job Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- authorized to work in the United States
- possess a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record
- passed background check and drug screening
- have a minimum of 1 year of baggage handling experience
- have at least 2 years of customer service experience
- proficient in English communication skills including reading, writing and speaking
- ability to use electronic devices such as iPads, tablets, computers, and mobile devices
- ability to obtain necessary FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Postal clearances
- flexible schedule to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
- capable of lifting up to 70 pounds
- able to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- able to perform physical activities such as pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, squatting, and kneeling
- ability to hear alarms and spoken voice under high noise levels
- able to perform repetitive arm, wrist, hand, and finger motions
- possess specific vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Job Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- eligible to work in the United States
- valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- effective communication skills in English including reading, writing, and speaking
- minimum 2 years of customer service experience
- at least 1 year of baggage handling experience
- ability to access and interpret information electronically and in print
- ability to communicate efficiently with colleagues and clients in-person and via electronic means
- successful passing of background check and drug screening
- eligibility to acquire required credentials and clearances such as FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Postal as applicable
- flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Supervise the daily operations of the baggage handling team
- ensure timely and accurate processing of passenger baggage
- monitor adherence to baggage handling protocols and safety standards
- conduct training sessions for new and existing staff on baggage handling procedures
- resolve operational issues and passenger concerns regarding baggage
- coordinate with airlines and airport authorities for seamless baggage transfer
- exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
