Job Description
Our bakery, located in the heart of Potomac Village at River Rd and Falls Rd, is dedicated to crafting the freshest and highest quality bagels and baked goods in the area. We pride ourselves on our unique water filtration system that replicates the characteristics of New York water, essential for producing the authentic taste and texture of our bagels that set us apart from others. As a part-time baker and line person, you will be joining a passionate team that values creativity, quality, and a strong work ethic. This role offers an excellent opportunity for self-motivated individuals who also thrive in a collaborative team environment and are willing to take direction from managers. Our focus is on delivering the best product to our customers while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.
This part-time position requires working 20-40 hours a week, primarily during the early shift to ensure that sufficient quantities of baked goods are prepared before opening. Responsibilities include mastering all in-store recipes, memorizing menu items along with ingredients and presentation, and maintaining composure even during the busiest times. You will gain and apply working knowledge of kitchen equipment and coordinate with the general manager to manage vendor orders effectively. Creativity is encouraged, as there may be opportunities to develop new items that can add to our product offerings. As the kitchen or prep line becomes busy, you will also assist your teammates to maintain smooth operations. Job Duties
- Knowledgeable of all in-store made recipes of bakery items
- memorize menu items, ingredients, prep and presentation
- maintain a clean and safe work environment as well as composure during busy hours

- generally will be on the early shift to make sure enough is made before opening
- coordinate with the general manager on all items needed to be ordered from vendors
