Currently, Sunriver Resort is seeking a Seasonal Backyard Café Supervisor to oversee operations in one of its popular outdoor dining venues. This role is essential in fostering an upbeat and welcoming environment for guests who enjoy dining amidst the scenic backdrop of the resort. The Backyard Café Supervisor will lead the café team to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining the high standards associated with the Sunriver brand. Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating inventory, managing labor costs, and ensuring cleanliness and safety throughout the outlet. The supervisor will also contribute to maintaining the resort's AAA Four Diamond standards by upholding operational excellence and instilling calm in fast-paced situations.
This position requires a dynamic leader capable of working effectively under pressure while promoting high staff morale. The ideal candidate has experience in food and beverage supervision, customer service, and cash handling, along with proficiency in point-of-sale systems and Microsoft Office programs. Requirements include a valid driver’s license, OLCC card, and Food Handler’s card, along with the ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- must have valid driver’s license and meet resort driving standards
- must possess valid OLCC card upon hire
- must possess valid Food Handler’s card upon hire
- must have excellent computer skills
- must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- must have excellent leadership skills
- must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least one year food and beverage experience
- at least one year customer service experience
- supervisory experience preferred
- prior hospitality experience preferred
- two or four year degree in hospitality related field preferred
- at least six months POS system experience preferred
- prior cash handling experience required
Job Duties
- Maintains a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction
- leads and supervises the café team
- ensures supplies are properly stocked and assists with ordering supplies
- assists with coordinating inventory control
- utilizes labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs
- assists manager with new hire and termination paperwork
- participates in staff and department meetings
- attends mandatory resort and division meetings
- reports any needed repair immediately to Maintenance
- ensures proper bookkeeping and adherence to resort policies
- responsible for daily reports and manager log book entries
- performs café staff duties as necessary
- maintains a safe and pleasant work environment
- assists with preparing and monitoring budget of expenditures and projected incomes
- monitors associate time punches in UKG
- instills a calm, organized approach in stressful situations
- works with senior leaders to recruit and hire café staff
- ensures service standards are applied
- ensures cleanliness and safety of the outlet
- promotes high associate morale
- recommends discipline and termination when appropriate
- assists with coaching and counseling of team
- assists with completing performance reviews
- responsible for achievement of department goals
- conducts continual training
- resolves guest issues promptly and effectively
