We are currently hiring for the role of Backwaiter, an essential position that ensures seamless restaurant operations by delivering food promptly and courteously to guests while maintaining cleanliness and service stations. This role offers both full-time and part-time hourly opportunities, ideal for individuals seeking flexible schedules and career advancement in the hospitality industry.

The Backwaiter plays a pivotal role in supporting our dining room teams by facilitating efficient food delivery from the kitchen to guests, assisting in maintaining sanitary dining areas, and managing service stations. This role demands excellent customer service skills, physical stamina, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The position requires team members to interact positively with guests, respond promptly to requests, and assist other front-of-house staff in providing an outstanding guest experience. Responsibilities also include cleaning tables and floors, restocking service stations, operating kitchen equipment like coffee and iced tea machines, handling POS systems, and supporting the beverage service. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and enthusiasm for working in a collaborative team setting. While no prior experience is required as comprehensive paid training is provided, the position demands the ability to stand, bend, and lift objects regularly, as well as an excellent sense of communication to remain calm under pressure. Job Requirements

  • No prior experience required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Possess or obtain a current Food Handler's Card, where applicable
  • Ability to stand, reach, bend, balance, and lift objects up to 30 lbs. repeatedly during a shift
  • Strong multitasking skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure

Job Duties

  • Deliver food to guests efficiently and ensure all requests are met
  • Monitor the expo line, run trays of food for dine-in, and assist guests with any questions
  • Clear and sanitize tables, seating, and floors according to restaurant standards
  • Retrieve and transport dirty dishes to the dishwashing station
  • Restock and clean service stations as needed
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as coffee machines, iced tea machines, and POS systems
  • Interact courteously with guests and notify managers of quality or service concerns
  • Follow company policies, dress code, and safety procedures
  • Assist with greeting, seating guests, answering phones, and packaging takeout orders when necessary
  • Support with beverage preparation and responsible alcohol service when required
