Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of direct retail experience preferred
  • flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • regular dependable attendance and punctuality
  • ability to lift at least 50lbs and stand for two consecutive hours
  • ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders
  • proficiency with point of sale technology and handheld equipment
  • strong communication skills with customers and colleagues
  • adaptability to changing priorities and customer needs

Job Duties

  • Fulfill customer orders based on Captain assignment
  • merchandising and processing new products
  • supervise the selling floor to deliver exceptional customer service
  • lead colleagues in executing and completing assigned tasks
  • role model and provide fast feedback for outstanding customer experiences
  • ensure high-level customer service through problem-solving and customer-focused resolutions
  • promote Macy's mobile app to enhance in-store experience
  • coordinate with People Leaders to plan and monitor store activities
  • provide continuous feedback to People Leaders to improve customer experience and processes
  • perform store opening and closing procedures including alarm and register settlement
  • lead and participate in adherence to merchandise standards
  • educate colleagues on point of sale technology and tools
  • foster an environment of acceptance and respect among colleagues, customers, and communities
