This role is for a US Foods Driver based in Houston, TX, offering a Monday through Friday schedule with start times between 5:00 am and 7:00 am, designed to ensure efficient route completion throughout the day. This is a weekly guaranteed pay position offering a minimum of $1,250 per week, with additional compensation based on component pay that factors in miles, cases, and stops as applicable. Drivers at US Foods are vital team members who ensure the safe and timely delivery of products to various vendors and company drop-off sites. The role demands active participation in all aspects of freight handling, including verifying freight accuracy, monitoring trailer temperatures, performing daily equipment inspections, and maintaining compliance with safety standards. Drivers are expected to return the tractor and trailer to the division upon route completion and demonstrate professional communication skills, both on the road and in customer interactions. Candidates must register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse to comply with Department of Transportation requirements and demonstrate valid CDL Class A licensing with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
