Job Description

Chick-fil-A, Inc. is a leading American fast food restaurant chain, famous for its focus on quality chicken products and exceptional customer service. Founded in 1946 by S. Truett Cathy, Chick-fil-A has grown from its origins as a small Atlanta diner called The Dwarf Grill (later The Dwarf House) to become America’s number one fast food restaurant. With the highest same-store sales and standing as the largest quick-service chicken restaurant chain in the United States by annual system-wide sales, Chick-fil-A is recognized not only for its delicious food but also for its strong commitment to customer satisfaction and positive work culture.

As an independent business, each Chick-fil-A operator invests significant time into their teams, fostering a nurturing environment that empowers team members with valuable life and business skills. This approach has contributed to their impressive employee retention rate and reputation as a great workplace.

The role of the Back of House (BOH) Team Member at Chick-fil-A is much more than simply a job. It offers a valuable opportunity to gain meaningful life experience and develop skills beyond serving high-quality food in a friendly environment. This position involves supporting the kitchen team by assembling food and drink orders quickly and accurately while maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward customers. Although no prior experience is necessary, Chick-fil-A provides thorough training to help new team members succeed in their roles.

As a BOH Team Member, your responsibilities include ensuring every guest leaves with a smile by contributing to a seamless and efficient kitchen operation. You will work closely with the kitchen team to prepare and assemble orders while adapting quickly to changes or edits. The role requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, busy environment, handle kitchen equipment and supplies, and maintain high energy and mobility throughout shifts.

A job at Chick-fil-A also comes with several unique benefits. The company offers flexible working hours to accommodate personal commitments such as family, school, or sports, and its restaurants are closed on Sundays to provide employees a guaranteed day off. Furthermore, team members enjoy competitive pay, direct engagement with independent operators who are committed to their development, and an overall great place to work where employees are more than just workers—they are valued members of the Chick-fil-A family.

Choosing Chick-fil-A means joining an organization that values integrity, encourages growth, and strives to provide an excellent customer experience. This role is perfect for individuals who are friendly, enthusiastic, and eager to learn in a supportive environment that promotes future professional success.
