Job Requirements

  • Must be 18+ years of age
  • availability for 30 hours weekly including Fridays and Saturdays
  • availability from 6 am to 3:30 pm
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to perform repetitive bending and lifting
  • ability to lift, push and pull up to 55 pounds
  • ability to climb 6 ft ladders
  • previous experience in food preparation or related field
  • comfortable working in a kitchen environment with fluctuating temperatures
  • proper use of sharp objects
  • comfortable working in close proximity with others
  • obtain current Food Handlers certification within 30 days of hire

Job Duties

  • Provide outstanding service
  • maintain and provide an excellent kitchen environment
  • exhibit proficient understanding of Chick-fil-A brand and product knowledge
  • perform at a high standard of proficiency in assigned kitchen stations
  • assemble orders following standards for recipe and presentation
  • ensure accuracy of order
  • communicate loudly, effectively and respectfully with front of house team about wait times and holds
  • exhibit a sense of urgency when performing tasks
  • ensure proper food quality and monitoring of temperatures
  • monitor and prevent waste by following established tracking processes
  • contribute in the achievement of restaurant score goals
  • ensure clean and sanitized food contact surfaces before and after preparing food and at least every 4 hours for ongoing tasks
  • ensure a clean, safe and inviting kitchen environment including walls, floors, floorboards, ceiling, hood vents and equipment
  • become familiar and adhere to Chick-fil-A values and restaurant mission
  • memorize the menu to correctly assemble all menu products
  • stay current with new promotions and products
  • properly use all equipment related to the kitchen
  • perform at least five kitchen stations with excellence including biscuits station, boards station 1 and 2, breading station 1, 2 and 3, minis station, egg station, nuggets station 1 and 2, hashbrown station, fries station, bulk prep station, machines station, kitchen floater, raw and thaw specialist, dish station, salad prep station, dessert prep station
  • perform other duties as assigned
  • exhibit knowledge of assigned Pathway modules required to work stations
