Established to deliver not only great food but also an exceptional dining experience, Homeroom is recognized for its vibrant and inclusive work environment that values its employees and promotes a strong sense of community. Known for its commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction, Homeroom operates multiple locations and has a steady and growing customer base that appreciates its menu and service standards.
The company prides itself on upholding its TRIBE values which encapsulate teamwork, respect, integrity, brand excellence, and enthusiasm. This ethos drives every aspect of the restaurant's operations and employee engagement. Homeroom offers an outstanding benefits package which demonstrates its commitment to supporting its employees’ well-being, including medical benefits, paid vacation, flexible spending accounts, and commuter benefits.
The position of Back of House (BOH) Floor Manager at Homeroom is a vital leadership role responsible for managing overall shift operations, ensuring customer satisfaction behind the scenes, and executing brand standards consistently. This role centers on running daily shifts effectively while managing and supporting BOH staff on-site to guarantee operational efficiency and effectiveness. The BOH Floor Manager acts as a frontline leader who not only oversees labor and product management but also fosters a positive work environment where team members feel valued and motivated.
This position requires expertise in kitchen operations, people management, and the ability to remain composed under pressure. The role includes coaching and mentoring team members to adhere to Homeroom's policies and procedures, enforcing food safety standards, maintaining high-quality product output, and addressing any operational challenges including maintenance and scheduling. As the BOH Floor Manager, you will work closely with both Back of House and Front of House staff to support total teamwork and seamless guest service.
Specific responsibilities involve ensuring shift schedules meet business needs, managing labor costs and food cost through inventory control and waste reduction, and preparing the team to meet service performance metrics such as speed, accuracy, and guest satisfaction. The BOH Floor Manager will also lead by example in safety and cleanliness, conduct performance reviews, and maintain regulatory compliance with food safety standards. This role demands a candidate who is approachable, detailed-oriented, and can cultivate a positive and productive work culture.
Employment is full-time or part-time with shifts ranging between 20 to 40 hours weekly, requiring availability during holidays, weekends, and peak business periods. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States. A minimum of one year experience in a supervisory kitchen role is required, ideally within a high-volume restaurant generating 3 to 5 million dollars or more in annual sales. Bilingual ability, especially in Spanish, is preferred but not mandatory.
Join Homeroom as a BOH Floor Manager to take on an impactful leadership role where your skills will help shape the dining experience, contribute to a thriving team environment, and support the ongoing success of a growing restaurant brand. Exceptional leadership, operational know-how, and dedication to excellence will empower you to thrive in this rewarding role.
