Job Requirements
- Three years of progressively responsible experience in airport maintenance, operations, or technically specific areas
- Other combinations of experience and education which meet the minimum requirements may be substituted
- Ability to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and various shifts
- Willingness to work outdoors in environmental extremes such as heat, cold, rain, pollution, and dust
- All finalists must pass a criminal background check
- Must be physically capable of safely operating personal or city vehicles as required
- Possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Job Qualifications
- Three years of progressively responsible experience in airport maintenance, operations, or technically specific areas
- Experience working in an aviation environment
- Supervisory or managerial experience in a 24/7 operational setting
- Two plus years of experience using Microsoft Office
- Experience with employee training
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and airport policies
- Experience with SAP, work order management systems, or xPort
- Knowledge of airport customer service both airside and landside
Job Duties
- Direct the work of airport maintenance staff
- Schedule shifts and evaluate employee performance
- Issue Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) and conduct emergency communication equipment training
- Order and maintain equipment and supplies inventory
- Prepare operational reports and handle tenant and public inquiries and complaints
- Oversee terminal cleaning, pressure washing, trash and recycle removal, security fence repair, and airside/landside maintenance activities
- Conduct training for staff on enforcement of state statutes and city ordinances
