Job Requirements

  • Three years of progressively responsible experience in airport maintenance, operations, or technically specific areas
  • Other combinations of experience and education which meet the minimum requirements may be substituted
  • Ability to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and various shifts
  • Willingness to work outdoors in environmental extremes such as heat, cold, rain, pollution, and dust
  • All finalists must pass a criminal background check
  • Must be physically capable of safely operating personal or city vehicles as required
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Job Qualifications

  • Three years of progressively responsible experience in airport maintenance, operations, or technically specific areas
  • Experience working in an aviation environment
  • Supervisory or managerial experience in a 24/7 operational setting
  • Two plus years of experience using Microsoft Office
  • Experience with employee training
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations and airport policies
  • Experience with SAP, work order management systems, or xPort
  • Knowledge of airport customer service both airside and landside

Job Duties

  • Direct the work of airport maintenance staff
  • Schedule shifts and evaluate employee performance
  • Issue Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) and conduct emergency communication equipment training
  • Order and maintain equipment and supplies inventory
  • Prepare operational reports and handle tenant and public inquiries and complaints
  • Oversee terminal cleaning, pressure washing, trash and recycle removal, security fence repair, and airside/landside maintenance activities
  • Conduct training for staff on enforcement of state statutes and city ordinances
