The company prides itself on fostering a professional work environment with comprehensive job training and clear paths for career growth.
The role of the Lot Control Associate at Hertz is critical in maintaining smooth and efficient operations on the sales lot and overflow areas. This position involves controlling the flow of vehicles, managing inventory by checking and logging new arrivals, and ensuring accurate and timely updates of vehicle status within the fleet computer system. Attention to detail is vital as this role includes lot merchandising responsibilities, which involve ensuring each vehicle is front line ready—displaying the correct pricing stickers, buyers guide, and frame plates. The Lot Control Associate is also accountable for parking and aligning cars to maintain a presentable sales environment, which plays an important role in customer satisfaction and overall business success.
Additionally, the associate manages the back-overflow lot, including shuttling cars to vendors, facilitating dealer trades, and providing customer transport as needed. Supporting administrative tasks such as maintaining the fuel log and other reports requested by the Location Manager are also part of this position, requiring strong organizational skills and attention to detail. This role offers an hourly wage of $16.00 and includes a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates will find this position rewarding if they thrive in a dynamic environment that values operational efficiency and teamwork. Flexibility is needed as shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays, with schedules assigned based on operational requirements. This role is ideal for individuals with a valid driver's license who are at least 20 years old, demonstrating reliability and a commitment to excellent attendance and job performance. Internal candidates who have completed probation with strong performance are encouraged to apply. Hertz actively promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds and ensuring equal opportunity employment including for individuals with disabilities and veterans.
