Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 months actual experience or supervised training as a hood technician
  • Ability and license to operate motor vehicles
  • Ability to properly use mechanical hand tools
  • Customer service skills
  • Basic literacy including reading, writing, and math skills
  • Verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Work safely, wear safety gear, keep work area clean and organized
  • Use Echo system and Echo services and vehicle information
  • Direct the vehicle into the bay
  • Place fender covers on the vehicle
  • Perform light check and check/fill automatic transmission fluid when applicable, condition and level of oil, power steering fluid, windshield washer fluid, coolant, battery electrolyte
  • Remove and check emissions components, replace top-side oil filter when applicable, air filter, cabin air filter, breather, and radiator cap, deliver emissions components to center manager for customer presentation when applicable, install emissions components
  • Perform visual inspection of belts, hoses, and other hood compartment components, document unusual conditions
  • Perform additional services as needed, perform final safety and quality check
  • Record information on Work Order
