Job Description
Woodhouse Auto Family is a distinguished automotive dealership group with a strong presence across multiple locations, representing a diverse array of 22 renowned automotive brands. Among its many dealerships, the Hyundai location at 8410 S 145th St, Omaha, NE, enjoys a solid reputation for customer service excellence and operational efficiency. Woodhouse Auto Family prides itself on fostering a welcoming and family-like work environment where employees are valued and supported in their career growth. Emphasizing continuous learning and professional development, Woodhouse offers comprehensive training programs, mentorship opportunities, and a collaborative culture where teamwork thrives. It is a company that believes in recognizing the talents and potential of its team members and cultivating an environment where their ambitions can flourish.
The full-time Lot Porter/Driver position at the Hyundai dealership in Omaha is an essential role that supports the sales team by ensuring smooth dealership operations and an exceptional customer experience. Scheduled Monday through Friday from 8 am to 7 pm, and Saturdays from 8 am to 5 pm with Tuesdays off, this position offers a competitive wage of $15 to $17 per hour. The primary responsibility of the Lot Porter/Driver is to assist the sales staff by managing the strategic movement of vehicles on the lot — from parking new inventory to jump-starting, fueling, unlocking vehicles, and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the lot. This includes removing snow and debris to ensure the lot remains presentable and safe.
In addition to logistical tasks, this position offers a unique vantage point into automotive sales operations, making it a great opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a future sales role within the dealership. Candidates with strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a customer-first attitude are highly sought after, as these qualities directly impact the customer experience and dealership reputation. To maintain employment, candidates must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and be willing to complete various post-offer screenings including background checks, drug screening, and fitness assessments.
Woodhouse Auto Family also provides an extensive benefits package for full-time employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance with health savings accounts, life and disability insurance, a 401K retirement plan with company match, paid time off and holidays, bereavement pay, and an employee assistance program. Additional perks include bonuses for new employee and customer referrals, employee of the month recognition, company-wide appreciation events, employee discounts on vehicles and services, insurance discounts, tuition assistance programs, paid in-house technician training, and paid manufacturer training travel and accommodation. Joining Woodhouse means becoming part of a thriving community dedicated to your career advancement and personal growth, with abundant opportunities to develop within the company and contribute meaningfully to the team.
