Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • previous experience as a PCA, caregiver, or in a related field preferred but not required
  • ability to follow care plans and maintain clear communication
  • valid driver’s license and reliable transportation if travel is required
  • clear background check and eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Follow the instructions of the PAS Supervisor in providing personal assistance services
  • provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing
  • assist with food preparation, serve food, perform errands, light housekeeping, laundry, and wash dishes
  • perform and record accurate measurements such as vital signs or intake/output as instructed in the care plans
  • observe and report any safety hazards found in the client’s home or any significant observations regarding the client
  • attend staff meetings, complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participate in orientation of new employees
  • report client complaints to the PAS Supervisor
  • maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements and agency policies
  • possess the ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • report abnormal findings in clients’ conditions as observed and per care plan to RN
