Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- previous experience as a PCA, caregiver, or in a related field preferred but not required
- ability to follow care plans and maintain clear communication
- valid driver’s license and reliable transportation if travel is required
- clear background check and eligibility to work in the U.S.
- patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Follow the instructions of the PAS Supervisor in providing personal assistance services
- provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing
- assist with food preparation, serve food, perform errands, light housekeeping, laundry, and wash dishes
- perform and record accurate measurements such as vital signs or intake/output as instructed in the care plans
- observe and report any safety hazards found in the client’s home or any significant observations regarding the client
- attend staff meetings, complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participate in orientation of new employees
- report client complaints to the PAS Supervisor
- maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements and agency policies
- possess the ability to follow written and oral instructions
- report abnormal findings in clients’ conditions as observed and per care plan to RN
