The Laundry Attendant role is a critical part of the Housekeeping department and plays an essential role in maintaining the resort's high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This position ensures that linens, towels, and other laundry items are consistently clean, properly organized, and readily available to various resort areas including guest rooms, poolside settings, spa treatments, and dining venues. Beyond the practical tasks of washing and folding laundry, the Laundry Attendant helps uphold safety protocols, monitors equipment functionality, and contributes to a welcoming and efficient workplace.
Selected candidates for the Laundry Attendant role will have the opportunity to begin onboarding and training before the official resort opening to May 2026. This phased start enables team members to familiarize themselves with the resort's operations, foster teamwork, and establish workflow habits that will enhance guest experiences. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in laundry or housekeeping preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items
- Availability for flexible work hours including weekends
- Knowledge of laundry equipment operation and safety procedures
- Adherence to OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Standards and chemical handling guidelines
Job Qualifications
- Previous laundry or housekeeping experience in a hotel or resort environment preferred but not required
- Willingness to learn and a positive service-oriented attitude required
- Understanding of proper cleaning techniques and chemical handling
- Ability to safely operate laundry equipment and follow established procedures
- Awareness of workplace safety standards and best practices
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions
- Ability to lift and move items consistent with the physical demands of the role
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work flexible schedules including evenings weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Process wash dry fold and organize linens towels and other resort laundry according to established standards
- Monitor linen inventory levels and communicate needs proactively to leadership
- Inspect linens for stains tears or damage and remove from circulation for reclaim or discard according to property standards
- Maintain proper sorting procedures to ensure efficient and accurate processing
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness sanitation and organization of laundry facilities equipment and storage areas
- Report any equipment malfunctions damages or maintenance concerns promptly
- Follow all required procedures for handling cleaning disposing of or moving objects and materials
- Work closely with Housekeeping and other departments to ensure timely delivery and replenishment of linens
- Support daily operational needs and adapt to changing business levels
- Contribute to a positive team-oriented work environment
