Job Requirements
- Ability to perform personal care tasks such as bathing and dressing
- Willingness to assist with food preparation and household chores
- Capability to accurately measure and record vital signs as per care plans
- Ability to observe and report safety concerns and client condition changes
- Effective communication skills for reporting to supervisors and team members
- Compliance with confidentiality and HIPAA standards
- Ability to follow detailed written and oral instructions
- Availability to attend required meetings and training sessions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Previous experience as a PCA, caregiver, or in a related field (preferred but not required)
- Ability to follow care plans and maintain clear communication
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if travel is required)
- Clear background check and eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Follows the instructions of the PAS Supervisor in providing personal assistance services
- Provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing
- Assist with food preparation
- serve food, performs errands, light housekeeping, laundry, wash dishes
- Perform and record accurate measurements (i.e. vital signs, or intake/output as instructed in the care plans)
- Observe and report any safety hazards found in the clients home or any significant observations regarding the client
- Attend staff meetings, attend/complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participate in orientation of new employees
- Report client complaints to the PAS Supervisor
- Maintain client confidentiality/adheres to HIPAA requirements and agency policy and procedures manual
- Possess the ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Report abnormal findings in clients conditions as observed and per care plan to RN
