Job Requirements

  • Ability to perform personal care tasks such as bathing and dressing
  • Willingness to assist with food preparation and household chores
  • Capability to accurately measure and record vital signs as per care plans
  • Ability to observe and report safety concerns and client condition changes
  • Effective communication skills for reporting to supervisors and team members
  • Compliance with confidentiality and HIPAA standards
  • Ability to follow detailed written and oral instructions
  • Availability to attend required meetings and training sessions

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (preferred)
  • Previous experience as a PCA, caregiver, or in a related field (preferred but not required)
  • Ability to follow care plans and maintain clear communication
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if travel is required)
  • Clear background check and eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Follows the instructions of the PAS Supervisor in providing personal assistance services
  • Provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing
  • Assist with food preparation
  • serve food, performs errands, light housekeeping, laundry, wash dishes
  • Perform and record accurate measurements (i.e. vital signs, or intake/output as instructed in the care plans)
  • Observe and report any safety hazards found in the clients home or any significant observations regarding the client
  • Attend staff meetings, attend/complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participate in orientation of new employees
  • Report client complaints to the PAS Supervisor
  • Maintain client confidentiality/adheres to HIPAA requirements and agency policy and procedures manual
  • Possess the ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Report abnormal findings in clients conditions as observed and per care plan to RN
