The role of Assistant General Manager (AGM) for Cargo at Swissport is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing daily cargo operations to guarantee safe, efficient, and timely handling of cargo activities. The AGM will report directly to the General Manager and play a pivotal role in implementing policies and procedures that uphold regulatory compliance and operational standards. This position involves close collaboration with various airport departments and external stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and exceptional service delivery to airlines and customers alike.

In this full-time role, the AGM will lead a diverse team of cargo staff, including supervisors, managers, and frontline employees, fostering an environment that promotes teamwork, engagement, and continuous improvement. The AGM will conduct regular performance reviews, provide mentorship, and develop strategies to boost team productivity and morale.

Safety and compliance are paramount in the AGM's responsibilities. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in business administration, Aviation Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cargo operations
  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong knowledge of aviation safety regulations and cargo procedures
