Brown University Athletics and Recreation is a prestigious department within Brown University, an Ivy League institution located in Providence, Rhode Island. Job Requirements
- successful completion of background check and education verification
- compliance with NCAA and Ivy League rules and ethical standards
- ability to work part time with availability for evenings and weekends
- ability to follow detailed game protocols and instructions
- enrollment in a high school diploma or equivalent program or higher
- demonstrated ability to collaborate with various event management teams
Job Qualifications
- knowledge of or demonstrated ability to learn specific game protocol pertaining to Ivy League and NCAA rules
- ability to observe and react quickly to events on the field, court, or athletic venue
- willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment
- availability to work evenings and weekends
Job Duties
- assist with facility setup and breakdown for various sports throughout the academic year
- knowledge of or demonstrated ability to learn specific game protocol as it pertains to Ivy League and NCAA rules
- interact and work alongside Athletic Communications staff, Event Management staff, and Marketing and Promotions staff during events
- serve as ball person for outdoor sports
- perform floor mop duties during basketball games
- operate the penalty box during hockey games
- assist with the distribution of judge scores during gymnastics events
