Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least five years of maintenance experience
- valid Georgia Motor Vehicle Operator’s License
- knowledge of athletic field maintenance
- knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, mechanical repair, electrical procedures, custodial practices, landscaping, and equipment repair
- experience operating a variety of maintenance machines and equipment
- skill in oral and written communication
- ability to prioritize and work independently
- ability to interact with the public
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum five years of maintenance experience
- valid Georgia Motor Vehicle Operator's License
- knowledge of field and building maintenance methods and practices
- knowledge of safety rules and regulations
- skilled in operating lawn maintenance equipment and athletic field equipment
- ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- ability to prioritize and multitask
- ability to work independently and interact positively with the public
Job Duties
- Perform grounds maintenance and equipment operations related to athletic field and park upkeep
- coordinate and conduct athletic field maintenance tasks
- monitor and maintain pool facilities including restrooms and drinking fountains
- assist with clerical and receptionist duties
- prepare and deliver materials and equipment to job sites
- perform preventive maintenance on equipment
- inspect equipment before and after use
- monitor calibration of pool equipment
- operate mowers, trimmers, tractors, field groomers, paint sprayers, aerifiers, chlorinators, and sweepers
- clean and maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and pool equipment
- mow, edge, trim, and rake fields
- plant, cultivate, water, and apply weed control
- operate various lawn and athletic field maintenance equipment
