Aramark is seeking a dedicated and highly organized professional to fill the role of Sanitation Supervisor. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and effective daily operations of the Sanitation Departments within the company’s facilities. The role requires managing employee scheduling, conducting training, organizing work assignments, and ensuring all sanitation operations comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The Sanitation Supervisor must also uphold governmental safety and environmental standards rigorously. This position involves leadership responsibilities such as interviewing and hiring new personnel to maintain a high-performing sanitation team.
The Sanitation Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining AIB (American Institute of Baking) standards consistently across the facility, which reflects on the company’s commitment to quality and food safety. This position requires hands-on supervisory coverage, especially during the absence of other supervisors or the facility manager, demonstrating the need for strong leadership and reliability. In addition, the role involves serving as a liaison between Flowers Bakery and Aramark teams, which emphasizes the importance of communication and collaborative working relationships. The supervisor will also lead monthly team and safety meetings to foster awareness and continuous improvement in safety and operational practices.
This role demands proficiency in various software tools such as Fast Financials, SMART ordering, SMILE ordering, and Lotus CC Mail, in addition to strong capabilities in Microsoft Word and Excel. Familiarity with WordPerfect, Windows, and UPTIME systems is also important to effectively manage operational workflows and communications.
The position is based on a night shift schedule from 10 pm to 6 am, ensuring continuous operations and oversight during these critical hours. Candidates should expect physical demands associated with the role including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing. Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniforms is also required to maintain safety and hygiene standards.
To thrive in this role, candidates should have between 2 to 5 years of experience in sanitation operations, possess knowledge of machinery related to sanitation, and demonstrate strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills. Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in sanitation operations
